To expand legal education for Indonesian citizens abroad, the Indonesian Dispute Board (DSI) is once again organizing its International Community Service Program (PKM Internasional) from 1–15 February 2026. This year’s program will be held across three Indonesian diplomatic missions: the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Vienna (Austria), Warsaw (Poland), and Budapest (Hungary).
The initiative is designed to provide practical insights into modern dispute resolution—an increasingly crucial area for Indonesians living overseas, particularly those involved in business, employment, and international civil relations.
Legal Outreach for Indonesian Diaspora in Three Countries
Over the two-week program, DSI’s team will deliver a series of legal education sessions addressing various contemporary issues, ranging from international labor disputes to the implementation of restorative justice. Each session is tailored to the specific needs of Indonesian diaspora communities in each host country, ensuring the material is relevant and applicable to their daily lives and professional environments.
Key topics to be covered include:
-
Mediation and arbitration mechanisms in cross-border disputes
-
The role and regulations of independent arbitrators
-
Procedures for resolving disputes involving international business actors
-
Application of restorative justice in general cases
-
Conflict resolution strategies in the health sector
-
Mediation for migrant workers and the use of E-Court systems
These topics aim to help participants better understand applicable legal procedures, both under Indonesian law and within the jurisdictions of their respective host countries.

Strengthening Collaboration Between Indonesian and International Legal Communities
Through the 2026 International PKM Program, DSI aims to enhance collaboration between Indonesia and international partners in advancing effective, fair, and solution-oriented dispute resolution models. Beyond offering direct benefits to Indonesian diaspora communities, the program also serves as an important platform for knowledge exchange between Indonesian legal experts and various stakeholders across Europe.
This initiative reaffirms DSI’s commitment to providing continuous and accessible legal education for Indonesians wherever they reside.
